Flood at Church

This is a slight deviation of my typical ocean, but I thought it was rather noteworthy.  A 3" pipe feeding the construction lost a coupling seal and sent water showering back into the building.  Overnight.  On a line rated at 800 gallons a minute.  Yeah...water in your walls and in your ceiling and in your carpet is not really a good thing.  I snapped a few pics...thankfully all the standing water is gone.  I wish I had caught a few of the crew sweeping waves of water out of the gymnatorium.  It was crazy!  But I did get some of the carnage of Servicemaster crew gutting the Bridal Room and the Mall:

Henlie Hanging Out

Well, there comes a time in every infant's life where they - for some reason unbeknownst to me - decide they want to see just how squirmy they can be and still be successfully held by their parents.  Thankfully, we've passed Henlie's tests as of yet, but in an effort to give ourselves a bit of shot longterm, we hooked her up with the exersaucer and let her do her thing.

And of course, therein lies a photo-op:

Superdad To The Rescue

Notice to mice:  you are not welcome.

Dad = 3 vs. Mice = 0

Easter 2010 (Dads Can Be Sentimental, Too)

This afternoon - post all the Easter-related chaos of a big lunch and those ever-important pictures for Mom (I imagine everyone has the same one on this day), I set down to organize some photos.  When looking at some of this year's Easter pics (particularly Henlie), I immediately thought of this one of Madie FOUR years ago:

Wow!  In a flurry of pink princess dresses and baby dolls, they grow up too fast!!!  And I'm only 4.5 years into this thing...gee wiz.  {Deep breath}  So we went to an Easter egg hunt Saturday.  Yeah, that was sheer chaos.  God bless the fine souls of those brave enough to put that on!  Our three did there best to add to the fray.  Just what we need more sugar... :)

He has Risen!
